Is the HPV Vaccination Preventing Your Pregnancy?

Action Alert!

A new study shows that women aged 25-29 who received the HPV vaccine have a lower probability of becoming pregnant. This is just the latest in a stream of evidence that points to the dangers of the HPV vaccine, particularly to those already infected with the virus—yet the FDA is considering a request from Merck to expand the population to whom the vaccine can be marketed. If the request is granted, it would be another example of how the agency sells out consumers for the benefit of the vaccine industry.

In addition to the study on the HPV vaccine preventing pregnancies, the government’s vaccine adverse event reporting system (VAERS) lists a startling 57,287 adverse events from the vaccine, including 419 deaths—far more than any other vaccine. A World Health Organization study demonstrated that the vaccination has a tendency to produce clusters of serious adverse events. The American College of Pediatricians raised concerns that the vaccine could be linked to premature ovarian failure. And let’s not forget the former Merck doctor who said that Gardasil “will become the greatest medical scandal of all time,” that it “serves no other purpose than to generate profit for the manufacturer,” and, like some other vaccines, that it can cause “Guillain-Barré syndrome, paralysis of the lower limbs, vaccine-induced MS, and vaccine-induced encephalitis.”

Consider, too, that for women who have already been exposed to certain strains of the HPV virus, vaccination can actually increase the risk of precancerous lesions by 44%. That’s right: if you are already infected with HPV, getting vaccinated could increase your risk of getting cancer. To put this in perspective, 79 million Americans are infected with HPV, and about 14 million are newly infected each year, making HPV the most common sexually transmitted infection. The CDC says that “HPV is so common that almost every person who is sexually active will get HPV at some time in their life.”

Despite substantial evidence of the dangers of vaccinating for HPV, the FDA has granted a request from Merck, the manufacturer of the Gardasil vaccine, to conduct a “priority review” for an expanded application of the vaccine, so it can be given to adults aged 27-45 as well as children. Priority review, as opposed to standard review, simply means that the agency is on an accelerated timeline: priority reviews take six months, standard reviews take ten months.

Merck originally asked for the expanded application in 2008, but the FDA rejected the request and asked for more long-term data. Not much seems to have changed. Gardasil’s current label references a study on 3,000 women aged 27-45 and states there was “no statistically significant efficacy” demonstrated by the vaccine in preventing cervical cancer or cervical lesions. Instead, Merck is pinning its hopes to observational data that supposedly demonstrates that the Gardasil vaccination can protect women from acquiring new HPV infections.

Given all this evidence, the discussion should be whether the HPV vaccine should be given to anyone—certainly not if it should be given to more people. Is the government so beholden to vaccine manufacturers that they will turn a blind eye to this evidence?

If the government won’t protect our health, it is up to consumers to educate themselves. Check out our documentary, Manufactured Crisis: HPV, Hype & Horror.

  1. It may cause early menopause. Gluten/GMO/Roundup/pesticides/vaccines etc may hurt reproduction etc. Some died from the shots and some were disabled. Grounding may help get rid of free radicals and may help some get pregnant age 40. Prevention is easier than cure. Stop the things that are hurting. Only do what helps health. Sunlight helps the immune system along with no gluten etc.

  2. Just wait, this will be one of the “required if you want to go to public school” shots in a couple years. I will never understand how it is okay to smoke around other people, knowing the effects of second and third hand smoke, but its not okay that people dont want to vaccinate THEMSELVES? If people dont want to catch stuff let them vaccinate themselves, why should everyone have to get vaccinated? Cant vaccinate against everything… People with little babies who are nervous should keep their kids away from large crowds or unfamiliar people. Some of these parents aren’t worried about their kids catching strep throat enough to stay home but they need everyone to get vaccinated against things like HEP B so that they dont catch it? Please think logically people. These people need to be less worried about diseases that are so rare that people who get them make headlines, and worry about the common stuff that can kill people, like strep throat! This hpv is just another example of things pushed on people that could possibly/probably do more harm than good. All shots should be optional and not pushed on people, especially kids. The data from this article is disgusting especially because it’s from a vaccine that was most likely pushed on these teenage girls. It doesnt matter if you are pro-vaccines or anti-vaccines. Vaccinations, and anything that is put into someone’s body, should be voluntary and not mandated in order to get things that are rightfully theirs (like a public school education). The Constitution does not mention vaccines specifically, but it deals with and stresses the idea of privacy more than once so I don’t understand how it can be found constitutional to make kids get vaccines to go to school. How is it not okay to have soldiers temporarily stay in your house, but okay to have chemicals and live bacterias shot into your body forever? People need to think and research the pros and cons of getting vaccines for themselves and then fight for what they want, not just go with the flow.

  3. This is non-scientific alarmism aimed at taking down a vaccine that saves lives. No documentation is provided for the claims posted here. Numerous such claims against Gardasil have been debunked. When you vaccinate millions, there are going to be hundreds of coincidental “effects”, just by chance. The vaccine didn’t cause them. With regard to “preventing your pregnancy”, a contraceptive is not a contraceptive if it only blocks 50% of the time. If fertility is knocked down by 50% or even 90%, you can still get pregnant. You just have to try harder.

    1. “non scientific alarmism” sounds like a pretty standard troll response. Vaccine producers if more than any other group should know what anti-science alarmism as it is their specialty.

  4. Gardasil was approved in US under the condition that there would be an extensive research project carried out in Norway, which in fact meant that the vaccine would be included in the children’s vaccination program.

There was implication of corruption in connection with introduction of this program.
Here is the research agreement which was negotiated between FDA, Merck and the Norwegian government and which FDA sent to Merck.
    https://www.scribd.com/document/376359093/Gardasil-Contract-FDA-Merck-and-Norwegian-Government2
    The agreement includes:
“You have committed to conduct a study in collaboration with the Norwegian Government, if Gardasil is approved in the European Union and the Goverment of Norway incorporates HPV vaccination into its national guidelines, to assess the impact of HPV vaccination on the following in Norway:
    e) The interaction between administration of Gardasil and pregnancy outcomes, especially congenital anomalies, by linking the vaccination registry with the Medical Birth Registry.
Thousands of young Norwegian girls are unknowingly being used as research objects.
